Introduction
On your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), our representative will meet you and guide you to your hotel. After freshening up, continue to the iconic Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where abandoned elephants have been cared for since 1975. Take part in memorable activities like feeding and bathing the elephants alongside local volunteers.
End your day with a comfortable stay at a luxury hotel in Dambulla.
After breakfast, head to explore Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic monuments, often referred to as the Eight Wonders of the World. Tourists visit the place to explore the Sigiriya Fortress, built by King Kashyapa during the 5th century. The fortress is built on a monolithic rock–visitors must climb 1,200 steps to reach the citadel. Besides exploring the fortress and its gardens, tourists also visit the museum to learn more about artifacts and videos related to Sigiriya.
The famous frescoes of the Sigiriya maidens, still preserved at the fort, are equally famous. After exploring Sigiriya, return to Dambulla.
Spend the night in Dambulla
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and make your way to Kandy. En route, stop at the National Spice Gardens in Matale, where you’ll discover a wide variety of spices, their culinary and medicinal uses, and even take part in Ayurvedic treatments, spice shopping, or a fun cooking session.

If your visit coincides with the spectacular Kandy Perahera, you’ll witness a grand cultural procession featuring elephants, dancers, and traditional music.

Spend the day exploring Kandy’s highlights, including the peaceful Kandy Lake, Bahirawakanda Temple, and the fascinating Ceylon Tea Museum. A major attraction is the Royal Botanical Gardens, spread over 147 acres and home to rare orchids, spices, medicinal herbs, and majestic palm trees. Today, after enjoying breakfast, set out for Bentota. En route, you have the option to visit Kithulgala, a popular hub for adventure lovers, offering thrilling activities like rafting and abseiling. Highlights here include the historic Belilena Caves — dating back over 32,000 years — and Handun Ella Falls, a picturesque waterfall whose name comes from the abundant sandalwood trees in the region.
After checking out of your hotel, transfer to Colombo International Airport to board your return flight, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka.
