Mehrangarh Fort is the centrepiece of today — perched 120 metres above the city, it offers commanding views of the sea of blue houses below. The fort museum inside is one of the best in Rajasthan, housing royal palanquins, armour, and miniature paintings. After lunch, visit the serene Jaswant Thada memorial nearby, then explore the winding lanes of the old city on foot.

Drive through the Thar Desert towards Jaisalmer (approx. 5–6 hours). The landscape gradually turns golden as scrub gives way to sand. Arrive and check in to your desert camp or heritage hotel. The late afternoon is perfect for walking up to Jaisalmer Fort — one of the few forts in the world still inhabited by a living community.

Did this trip with a group of six colleagues and it was genuinely one of the best trips I've taken in India. Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur left everyone speechless — we spent almost three hours there. The Sam Dunes evening was electric, and the folk dancers were fantastic. Pack & Go handled everything smoothly.
Udaipur was my favourite part of the trip — the City Palace and the lake together are just stunning. My only suggestion would be to give a little more time in Udaipur and a little less on the Jodhpur to Jaisalmer drive day. But the driver was lovely and very reliable throughout. Would recommend for a first-time Rajasthan trip.
Booked this for me and my wife for our anniversary. The desert camp in Jaisalmer was a highlight we didn't expect — sleeping under the stars in the Thar is a completely different experience. Pack & Go was responsive on WhatsApp throughout the trip whenever we had questions. Very well organised.
