This 5 days 4 nights trip through Jodhpur and Jaisalmer is built for couples seeking a romantic, unhurried pace across two of Rajasthan's most photogenic cities, with rooftop views, desert sunsets, and heritage stays woven through the itinerary.
The trip opens in Jodhpur with an evening at leisure near the Clock Tower market, followed by a full day starting at Mehrangarh Fort — timed for the best light and fewest visitors — and a walk through Brahmpuri, the city's oldest indigo-washed neighbourhood, before the white marble Jaswant Thada memorial. The desert drive to Jaisalmer sets up an evening climb to Jaisalmer Fort to watch the city turn amber at sunset. The final full day covers the fort's ancient Jain temples and royal palace from the inside, the delicate sandstone lattice work of Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, and a Sam Sand Dunes camel ride timed for the Thar sunset, closing with a folk music and dance performance as the stars come out.
The package includes 4 nights of twin-sharing heritage hotel accommodation across Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, daily breakfast, AC cab transfers between and within both cities, the Sam Sand Dunes camel ride with cultural evening, and monument entry fees as per the itinerary.

Arrive in Jodhpur and check in to your heritage hotel in or near the old city. Spend the evening at leisure — take a stroll through the Clock Tower market area, pick up local spices and handicrafts, and find a rooftop restaurant with a view of Mehrangarh Fort illuminated against the night sky.
Meals: None
Begin with Mehrangarh Fort — arrive when it opens for the best light and fewest visitors. The fort museum is exceptional; the cannon-studded ramparts offer sweeping views of the blue-painted old city below. Walk down through Brahmpuri — the oldest neighbourhood — weaving past indigo-washed walls and flower-draped doorways. Visit the white marble Jaswant Thada memorial in the afternoon before a quiet evening back at the hotel.
Meals: Breakfast
Morning drive through the Thar Desert to Jaisalmer (approx. 5–6 hours). The journey itself is part of the experience — flat desert highways, wind farms on the horizon, and the occasional flock of sheep crossing the road. Arrive in Jaisalmer and check in. Evening is free to climb up to Jaisalmer Fort and watch the city turn amber as the sun goes down.
Meals: Breakfast
Spend the morning inside Jaisalmer Fort — visit the ancient Jain temples, the royal palace, and the narrow lanes where families have lived for centuries. Head to Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli in the afternoon to marvel at the delicate sandstone lattice work. By late afternoon, drive out to Sam Sand Dunes for a camel ride and a spectacular Thar sunset. Enjoy Rajasthani folk music and dance performance at the dunes as the stars emerge.
Meals: Breakfast
A relaxed final morning in the golden city. After breakfast, take a last wander through the fort lanes or browse the textile and leather craft shops near Amar Sagar Pol. Check out and transfer to Jaisalmer Railway Station or Airport for your journey home.
Meals: Breakfast

Took this trip with my wife for our anniversary and it genuinely exceeded expectations. Mehrangarh Fort was jaw-dropping — we spent almost half the day there. The Sam Dunes evening was the best part: watching the sunset while on a camel with folk singers in the background felt very cinematic. Excellent value.
Really enjoyed the Jodhpur part of this trip — the blue city lanes are even more photogenic in real life than in pictures. The hotel in Jaisalmer was basic but clean and had a nice rooftop view. I'd suggest spending one more day in Jaisalmer if you can, there's a lot to explore inside the fort alone.
Smooth trip from start to finish. Our driver was knowledgeable and pointed out interesting things along the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer highway we'd have missed otherwise. The Patwon Ki Haveli was a highlight neither of us expected — the stone carving detail is incredible. Pack & Go's coordinator was always reachable on WhatsApp.
